Salutations, I'm Bea.
I'm a Multimedia Designer.
What’s that? Well, a multimedia designer is UI/UX, digital, motion and some graphic design combined, hence the ‘multi’ in the name. When asked though, we usually just say “sort of like graphic design but more digital”, since no one really knows what a multimedia designer is.
About Me
I sprouted out of the ground in Johannesburg, South Africa, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in multimedia design at Greenside Design Center at the end of 2021, and have been working as a designer ever since. I’ve always been passionate about art and illustration, and design has always been a great way for me to utilise my artistic skills for creative problem solving. For the last year, I’ve lived in the Netherlands with my newly acquired husband, and we’ve been on quite a bunch of adventures since then.
Always remain a student
As a designer, it is par for the course that you always keep learning and improving your abilities. I love learning and I never picked up the mentality that I’ve finished with my studies.
Learning about new fields, teaching myself new skills, doing short courses and attending webinars are ways in which I try to keep myself sharpened and up to industry standard.
