Salutations, I'm Bea.
I'm a Multimedia Designer.
What’s that? Well, a multimedia designer is specialised in UI/UX, digital, motion and some graphic design combined, hence the ‘multi’ in the name. When asked though, we usually just say “sort of like graphic design but more digital”, since no one really knows what a multimedia designer is.
About Me
I sprouted out of the ground in Johannesburg, South Africa, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in multimedia design at Greenside Design Center at the end of 2021, and have been working as a designer ever since. I’ve always been passionate about art and illustration, and design has always been a great way for me to utilise my artistic skills for creative problem solving. For the last year, I’ve lived in the Netherlands with my newly acquired husband, and we’ve been on quite a bunch of adventures since then.
Always remain a student
As a designer, it is par for the course that you always keep learning and improving your abilities. I love learning and I never picked up the mentality that I’ve finished with my studies.
Learning about new fields, teaching myself new skills, doing short courses and attending webinars are ways in which I try to keep myself sharpened and up to industry standard.
Moving to the Netherlands has opened my eyes quite a bit, because of how different the design scene is from my hometown.
I feel challenged to evolve into a more critically thinking designer here if I want to stand out. It’s good for me (I think).

User journeys, skeletons, prototypes. Adobe XD, Figma, and wordpress I am intimately familiar with. If you know your target audience, all the better. Your wish is my command.
Digital Design
Social Media, web banners, digital campaigns, it’s always a fabulous time here. Your tone is important and if you want some flavourful corporate memes, I’m your gal.
Work Experience
What I’ve been getting up to as an unleashed designer in the field.
Worked as a junior digital designer, creating and providing web based visual content (social media posts, banners, resized images and animated videos) for clients to use on their platforms as well as managing a content calendar, market research, photo retouching and manipulation.
Worked as a designer, creating social media content, animations, thumbnails and business content for the company. Deeply focused on upskilling into augmented reality by creating a large scale AR project using Unity, Blender and Adobe Aero.
Worked as a multimedia designer incorporating graphic and digital design work. Created a logo animation, icon illustrations, manipulated photos, patterns and animations. Created digital content such as social media, mailers, web banners, as well as printed media such as menu’s, posters, flyers and billboards. Created corporate memes to display on instagram and TikTok (animated mostly). Added updates to company’s website through wordpress, created interactive mailers through Zenoti and kept consistent tone and branding through all created content.
Worked as a multimedia designer integrating digital, graphic and browser based design for the ultimate goal of SEO and increasing clients’ digital presence and ROI. Created website designs, corporate identities/rebrands with logo updates, social media posts, article explainer motion graphics, and promotional content in both digital and print form, both in-house and for a wide variety of clients. Adhered to any and all visual guidelines while sticking to deadlines, as well as meeting and managing client expectations.
Worked as both a digital design strategist and store employee for an art supply shop. Created montly newsletters using flodesk, managed stakeholder’s requests by adding changes to store’s website, using WordPress and Elementor. Created social media posts, campaigns and stories for shop, including Dutch content and CTA’s and managing the posting schedule. Created demonstrational art process videos for the social media to showcase the quality of the art supplies in store. When running the store, helped clients find what they needed and offered artistic advice in mostly Dutch interactions.
